Are you tired of the negativity surrounding women of color in pregnancy and childbirth?
Are you tired of dealing with difficult moments and not sure how to resolve them permanently?
If you answered “YES” to both of these questions then Save Mommy & Baby Awareness 2022 Game-A-Thon BBQ Cook-off is where you need to be on May 21, 2022. Games will start at 11:00 am and end at 5pm .
This is a family event that is filled with fun, and laughter you haven’t experienced in a while. We all need to check our mental health and laugh, have fun and free our minds from what’s going on in our lives. It’s okay to take a break and live a little. This is a FREE event; however, if you feel that you have the skills required to participate in our Game-A-Thon then sign your team up or maybe you feel that you have the FAMOUS BBQ sauce in the state and NO ONE can top your sauce then, enter your BBQ sauce into the BBQ Cook-off.
Khairi and Little Angels’ Memorial also known as KLA Memorial.
Khairi and Little Angels' Memorial is a supportive community resource with a strong belief that infant and maternal mortality rates and mental health can be decreased with the appropriate programs, approaches, and people in place to move the process forward. We believe in bringing awareness to the community about infant and maternal mortality, women's healthcare, and mental health for the entire family, which consists of the mother, father, child, and or children.
KLA Memorial will make sure women are informed of their rights during pregnancy and childbirth, listening as they voice their concerns about their pregnancy and allowing the community to be free in a non-judgmental environment.
Come out to the FREE family event and learn, eat, talk with vendors, most of all get up-dated on what's going on with women of color during childbirth. Make sure you know what and how to handle a situation if you are faced with one.
Covid restricts will be enforced so make sure you were your mask. Security will also be present.
